Why is there a difference between the amount I transferred and the amount received in my Reap account?

Edited

If you notice a discrepancy between the amount you sent and what was received in your Reap account, it could be due to wire transfer fees. Here's how these fees typically work:

  • Sending Bank Fee: Charged by your bank when you send the wire.

  • Intermediary Bank Fee: Charged by any banks that process your transfer along the way.

  • Receiving Bank Fee: Charged by the bank when your transfer arrives.

Unfortunately, we don’t have control over these fees, which can sometimes result in a difference between the amount you send and the amount received.

What can you do?

1. Check with your bank to see if any fees were deducted during the transfer.

2. Choose the option to cover all fees when making future transfers to ensure the full amount reaches your Reap account.

If you still have questions after checking, please contact us at hello@reap.global with your transfer proof, and we'll be happy to look into it for you.
