How to make a Reap Card Repayment with USD via SWIFT Transfer

As a USD card user, you may prefer to make repayments with fiat USD instead of cryptocurrencies. To make this process easier for you, we have introduced a new bank transfer option that allows you to make repayments directly from your USD card account. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to make a repayment with fiat USD.

Q: What are the steps to make a repayment with fiat USD?

  1. Log in to your USD card account and click on "Make a repayment."

  2. Select the bank transfer option on the pop-up window. If you don't see this option available, please contact the CS team at hello@reap.global.

  3. Follow the instructions to transfer the funds to our USD bank account in Hong Kong.

  4. Once you have completed the transfer, click on the "I have transferred" button to create a notification for our team to begin the reconciliation process. You may upload the payment proof in the following popup to help us spot the funds faster. Please make sure to press done after inputting all details.

  5. Our Finance Team will reconcile the repayment within 3 working days. You will receive a notification once the repayment is completed, and the repayment status will be updated as "completed" on your dashboard.

Q: How long does it take for my repayment to be reconciled?

If you have notified us about the repayment on the dashboard, our Finance Team will manually reconcile the repayment within 3 working days. Please note that we don't actively monitor each company for repayments, so you need to notify us via dashboard after making your fiat repayment. Only after receiving your notification will we initiate the reconciliation process.

Q: My repayment is not reconciled yet, what should I do?

If you didn't see the repayments reconciled in time, please send an email to hello@reap.global with proof of repayment and the following information so that we can follow up with the team appropriately:

  • The name of the entity making the payment

  • The amount being sent

  • The bank name from which the transfer is made

Q: How will I know if my repayment has been reconciled?

Once a repayment is reconciled, a new line is generated on the Reap Card's Transactions page. You will also receive a notification.

Q: Who is responsible for the bank handling charges?

Please note that any handling charges imposed by the banks are the payer's responsibility and won't be covered by Reap.

Q: Can I use USD to settle my HKD Reap Card balance?

No, unfortunately, you cannot use USD to settle your HKD Reap Card balance. Please ensure that you are making payments in the correct currency corresponding to your card balance. If your Reap Card balance is in HKD, it should be settled using HKD. Any transactions attempting to use USD to pay an HKD balance will not be successful.
