FX fees

If you pay in a currency other than your card's settlement currency (HKD or USD), a foreign exchange (FX) fee may apply. The fee depends on your card type and the merchant's location.

Reap Cards currently support payments in the following currencies. If a merchant charges in one of these currencies, the transaction is processed automatically.

What happens if I pay in a currency not on this list?

Reap Cards process transactions across currencies supported by the card network. If a currency is unavailable, your transaction may be declined. Contact our support team if you have questions about a specific currency.

Can I see the exchange rate applied to my transaction?

The exchange rate is set by the card network at the time of the transaction. You can view the transaction amount and currency in your card statement on the Reap dashboard.

Will I always be charged an FX fee for foreign currency transactions?

An FX fee applies when the transaction currency differs from your card's settlement currency (HKD or USD). Transactions made in your settlement currency do not incur an FX fee. For the full fee schedule, visit our Pricing Page.
