When you use your Reap Card for online purchases, some merchants may require extra verification to complete the transaction. This process uses One-Time Passwords (OTP) to confirm your identity and protect against unauthorized card use.
Ways To Receive OTPs
You can choose how to receive OTPs for Reap Card transactions:
Receive OTP via SMS
By default, OTPs are sent to your registered mobile number by SMS. Make sure your number is up to date and has reliable mobile signal to receive these messages.
Receive OTP via Reap Mobile App
If you're having trouble receiving SMS, you can switch to in-app OTP delivery. This method sends the code directly to your Reap app, making it a more reliable option in areas with poor mobile coverage.
You can change your OTP delivery method in the Reap app settings.
What To Do If You Can’t Receive OTPs
If you urgently need to complete a transaction and can't receive the OTP:
- Try switching to in-app delivery in your Reap mobile app.
- If that doesn't work, contact our Customer Success team for help.
To help us troubleshoot SMS delivery issues, please share the following details:
- The phone number registered for OTPs (include country code)
- Your telecom provider
- Your location when trying to receive the OTP
- The merchant name where the issue occurred
