Who this is for: Admin users on an entity eligible for Optimize.
What this article covers: What Optimize is, how to access it from your Dashboard, how to add and move funds, and what to expect around timing and eligibility.
Overview
Optimize is a dedicated yield-bearing bucket within Treasury, called your Optimize Balance. You can intentionally allocate funds into it to earn yield.
When you deposit or move USDC into Optimize Balance, it's automatically converted into USYC — a regulated, yield-bearing stablecoin from Circle backed by short-term U.S. Treasuries and repos. The value of USYC increases over time as the underlying assets earn interest — there's no staking, lending, or counterparty risk involved on your end.
Optimize is not an automatic sweep of idle funds. You choose when and how much to allocate — nothing moves into Optimize on its own.

Optimize is powered by a separate legal entity that holds and manages the Optimize Balance (USYC) pool, giving it operational independence from Reap's core payments business.
Accessing Optimize from your Dashboard
Once your entity is eligible, Optimize appears as its own card on your Reap Dashboard homepage, below your Cards and Payments cards.
- Log in to your Reap Dashboard.
- On the homepage, find the Optimize card below your Cards and Payments cards.
- Check your current Optimize value, estimated APY, and recent gain or loss shown on the card.
- Select Add funds or View more to open your Optimize balance in Treasury.
Note: Team Members do not see Optimize on their Dashboard — their Dashboard experience stays simplified based on their existing permissions.
Adding funds to Optimize
There are two ways to start:
- Select Add Funds (top right of the Treasury page) and choose Optimize, or
- Select the Add Funds icon directly on the Optimize card.
Then:
- Select USDC as your funding source.
-
Choose your network — Ethereum or Solana.
- Review the conversion details (rate, any FX disclaimer, and the USYC price source shown).
-
Confirm the deposit. Your Optimize Balance updates to reflect your new USYC holdings.
If you're depositing from an external wallet, you'll be given a dedicated wallet address for the network you selected. Only USDC is accepted, with a minimum deposit of 2 USDC.
Once you send funds, the deposit status appears in the Activity table on the Treasury page, and your Optimize card updates once the deposit completes.
Moving funds in and out of Optimize
You can move funds between Optimize Balance and your General Balance, Card, or Payments balance from the Treasury page.
- Select Move Funds (top of the Treasury page) or the transfer icon on the Optimize card.
- Choose your source and destination. Only USDC can be moved into Optimize.
- Enter the amount you'd like to move.
-
Review the conversion rate, fees, and estimated amount you'll receive.
-
Confirm the transfer.
Note: if you move funds out of Optimize into Payments, you'll receive USDC in your Payments balance.
You can track the status of any transfer in the Activity table — it will show as Pending until processing completes, typically within about 5 minutes.
External wallet withdrawals
Withdrawing directly to an external wallet isn't available as a self-service option today. If you need to withdraw to an external wallet, submit a request or contact our customer support team for manual review and processing — this typically takes 48–72 hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Optimize an automatic sweep of my balance?
No. Optimize is not an automatic sweep of idle funds. You must explicitly deposit into, or move funds into, your Optimize Balance for them to start earning yield.
What asset do I actually hold when I use Optimize?
You deposit USDC, which is automatically converted into USYC while held in your Optimize Balance. USYC is a regulated, yield-bearing stablecoin from Circle whose value increases over time based on the underlying short-term U.S. Treasury assets and repos it's backed by.
Can I move funds out of Optimize at any time?
Yes — internal transfers to General Balance, Card, or Payments are available at any time, though transfers out of Optimize are processed in batches rather than instantly.
Who is eligible to use Optimize?
Optimize is available to corporate clients incorporated in one of Reap's 51 eligible countries of incorporation (see the full list under Before you start). Eligibility has expanded several times since launch, so if you don't see Optimize as an option, contact our support team to confirm your entity's current eligibility.
Why don't I see the Optimize card on my Dashboard?
Optimize is only available to entities incorporated in one of Reap's 51 eligible countries of incorporation. If your country of incorporation isn't yet eligible, the Optimize card won't appear on your Dashboard. Contact our support team to confirm your entity's eligibility.
Can Team Members see the Optimize card?
No. Team Members won't see Optimize on their Dashboard — their experience stays simplified based on their existing permissions.
