Overview
This article explains how to add funds to each of Reap's three treasury sub-accounts — Card, Reap Pay, and General — and walks you through every step of the deposit flow.
Understanding Reap Treasury
Reap Treasury is the central hub that holds and distributes funds across your Reap account. Every deposit you make lands in one of three sub-accounts:
| Sub-account | What it's for | Deposit methods |
|---|---|---|
| Card | Acts as collateral to increase your Reap Card credit limit. The more you deposit, the higher your available credit. | Stablecoins (USDC/USDT) or Fiat currency (USD) |
| Reap Pay | Funds your Payments balance so you can send bill payments and transfers. | Stablecoins (USDC/USDT) only |
| General | A holding account for unallocated funds. Deposit here first if you're unsure, then move funds where you need them later. | Stablecoins (USDC/USDT) only |
Getting to "Add Funds"
There are two ways to start a deposit — from the Dashboard or directly from the Treasury page.
Option A — From the Dashboard
- Log in to the Reap dashboard.
- On the Home screen you'll see two widgets: Cards and Payments.
- Click the Add funds button inside whichever widget matches your goal:
- Cards → Add funds — deposits into your Card collateral account.
- Payments → Add funds — deposits into your Reap Pay account.
Option B — From Reap Treasury (recommended)
- In the left-hand navigation, click Reap Treasury.
- You'll see three widgets: Card, Reap Pay, and General, each showing the current balance.
- To fund a specific account, either:
- Click the Add funds link directly on that sub-account card, or
- Use the purple Add funds ▾ dropdown button at the top-right, then select Card, Reap Pay, or General from the menu.
Adding Funds to Card
Depositing into your Card sub-account increases your credit limit by an equivalent amount. You can deposit using stablecoins or fiat currency.
Method 1 — Stablecoins (USDC / USDT)
-
Navigate to Add funds → Card using either option above. The Add funds to Card page will open with Stablecoins selected by default.
- Under Network, open the dropdown and select the blockchain network you are sending from (e.g. Ethereum, Tron, Polygon).
- Read the Things to note section carefully:
- Minimum deposit is 2 USDC/USDT. Amounts below this will not be credited and are non-refundable.
- Transfers take up to 5 minutes to appear in your account.
- Only send supported stablecoins. Sending any other asset may result in permanent loss of funds.
- Tick the checkbox confirming "I have understood Reap's minimum amount and supported assets."
- Click Next. Reap will display your unique deposit wallet address and QR code. Send your USDC/USDT to that address from your external wallet.
Method 2 — Fiat currency
-
Navigate to Add funds → Card as described above.
- On the Add funds to Card page, click the Deposit with fiat currency tab.
- Enter the Deposit amount.
- Click Next. Reap will show you bank transfer instructions (account number, routing/SWIFT details, and a reference code). Complete the transfer from your bank using those details.
Adding Funds to Reap Pay
Your Reap Pay balance is used to fund outgoing payments. Deposits here are via stablecoin transfer only.
- Navigate to Add funds → Reap Pay (from the Dashboard Payments widget or the Treasury page).
- The Add funds to Pay page will open, showing the stablecoin transfer flow.
- Under Network, select the blockchain network you are sending from.
- Review and acknowledge the Things to note warnings — 2 USDC/USDT minimum, 5-minute processing, supported assets only.
- Tick the confirmation checkbox and click Next to receive your deposit address.
Adding Funds to General
The General account is a flexible holding account. Use it to park funds first and then move them to Card or Reap Pay as needed using the Move Funds feature.
- Navigate to Add funds → General from the Treasury page or using the Add funds ▾ dropdown.
- The Add funds to General page will open with the stablecoin flow.
- Select your Network, review the warnings, tick the checkbox, and click Next.
- Send your USDC/USDT to the wallet address Reap provides.
Important things to know before you send
| Rule | Details |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | 2 USDC/USDT for all stablecoin deposits. Any amount below this will not be credited and cannot be refunded. |
| Processing time | Stablecoin transfers typically take up to 5 minutes to appear in your Reap account after the blockchain transaction confirms. |
| Supported assets only | Only send USDC or USDT. Sending any other cryptocurrency may result in permanent loss of your funds. Always check the supported assets list before sending. |
| Network must match | The network you select in Reap must exactly match the network you send from. Mismatched networks = lost funds. |
| Fiat deposits (Card only) | Fiat bank transfers are only available for the Card sub-account. Always include the reference code Reap provides — transfers without it may be delayed or rejected. |
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take for my deposit to appear?
Stablecoin deposits are reflected within 5 minutes of the blockchain transaction confirming. During high network congestion this may take longer. Fiat bank transfers typically take 1–3 business days.
If you have trouble seeing your transfers, contact our support team via Live Chatbot in Reap Dashboard (bottom right) or email us at hello@reap.global
Can I add funds directly to a specific card rather than the Card account?
No — all deposits go into the Card sub-account in Treasury, which acts as collateral across all your cards. You cannot top up individual cards separately.
Can I deposit a currency other than USD for fiat transfers?
Currently fiat deposits are processed in USD. If you send in another currency, your bank will convert it and any exchange fees will reduce the received amount.
What is the difference between Card and General?
Funds in Card are locked as collateral against your credit limit. Funds in General are unallocated and can be moved freely to Card or Reap Pay at any time using Move Funds in Treasury.
Is there a maximum deposit limit?
There is no hard maximum, but large deposits may be subject to compliance review. Contact your account manager or our support team if you plan to deposit a significant sum.
