Product: Reap API (Payment API)
Who this is for: Administrators of a payments program on Reap who manage dashboard access for their own team.
What you will learn: Who can sign in to your dashboard, what each role is allowed to do, and how to add, change or remove someone's access.
Overview
The Team section is where you manage access to your manager account dashboard. You can invite colleagues, give each of them a role that sets what they are allowed to do, change a role later, and remove access when someone leaves.
What can you see on the Team page?
The Team page lists everyone with access to your account. Each row shows:
- The person's name and email address
- Their role
- Their invite status, if they have not yet accepted
Name and role can both be sorted, and each row has an options menu for managing that person.
What can each permission role do?
There are three roles. Assign the narrowest one that covers the person's work.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to manage payments, balances, funds, team members, statements and developer settings, across the manager account and all managed accounts. |
| Team member | View-only access to payments and balances across all managed accounts. Can also generate and download statements for both the manager account and managed accounts. |
| Developer | API access and technical configuration. |
Roles apply across every account, not to one managed account at a time. A Team member can see payments and balances for all of your customers, not a subset.
💡 Appoint at least two administrators. Admin is the only role that can manage team members, so a single admin is a single point of failure. If that person is unavailable, nobody can grant access, change a role, or remove someone who has left.
How do I add a team member?
- Select Add team member.
- Enter the person's work email address.
- Choose their permission role: Admin, Team member or Developer.
- Select Send invitation.
An invitation is sent to that address. It stays pending until the person accepts it, and until then they appear on the Team page without access.
How do I change or remove someone's access?
Each row on the Team page has an options menu at the end, with two actions:
- Edit role — change what that person can do. You do not need to remove and re-invite them.
- Remove from team — revoke their access to the dashboard.
Both are Admin-only.
💡 Make this part of offboarding. When someone leaves or changes role, update their access the same day rather than waiting for a scheduled review.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can add or remove team members?
Only an Admin. This is why it is worth having more than one.
A colleague I invited cannot sign in.
An invitation stays pending until the person accepts it. Check their status on the Team page, and confirm the invitation went to the right email address.
Can I give someone access to just one managed account?
No. Roles apply across the manager account and all managed accounts. If a person should not see every customer's payments and balances, the dashboard is not the right way to give them access.
Someone's role is wrong. Do I need to remove and re-invite them?
No. Use the options menu beside their name to edit the role directly.
Someone has left the company. What should I do?
An Admin removes them from the Team page using the options menu, as part of offboarding.
