Overview

This article walks you through creating a new Cards API account. Registration and verification run on Reap's unified onboarding flow, so the first steps are the same for every Reap product. What differs is the product you select and the documents we ask for afterwards.

Before you begin

Before starting, make sure you have the following ready:

• A business email address that you have access to. Reap will send a verification link to this address.
• Your company's country of incorporation and country of operation. These cannot be changed once submitted, so confirm them before you start.
• A mobile phone number for your account.

💡 Have your documents ready before you start verification
Creating your account takes only your email, phone number, and basic company details. Verification comes next, and it does require documents. 

How to sign up

1. Open your browser and go to dashboard.reap.global/register. You'll see the sign-up form on the left.
2. Under Product, select the Cards API option.

4. Fill in the remaining fields, including your country of incorporation and country of operation. Use your work email address — personal addresses (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo) are not accepted at the moment. Your password must be at least 8 characters and include uppercase, lowercase, and a number or symbol.

   ⚠️ Double-check your country details before you continue

   Your country of incorporation and country of operation cannot be changed once submitted. If you select the wrong country, contact our Support Team for assistance, a new application may be required.

5. Click Sign up at the bottom of the form. By doing so, you agree to Reap's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
6. Check your inbox for a verification email from Reap and click the link inside to confirm your account.
   • Didn't get the email? Check your spam or junk folder first.
   • On the confirmation screen, click Resend the email to request a new one.
   • Verification links expire after 24 hours. If yours has lapsed, simply request a fresh one.
7. Once your email is verified, you'll be taken to Reap's Launchpad to choose your product.

Account setup and verification

After verifying your email, you'll select your product and then complete the account setup (KYB) form.

Step 1: Select Cards API on the Launchpad

You'll land on Reap's Launchpad, where you can explore our products. For a Cards API application, click Get started under Cards API.

Step 2: Complete account setup (KYB)

Before verification begins, Reap shows you a Before you start panel listing the business information and supporting documents you'll need. Gather these, then click Continue to account verification.

You'll land on the Complete account setup page. The left-hand sidebar tracks your progress through six sections. You can click Save and Exit at any point and return later.

• Your business: enter your account display name, legal business name, type of business, primary industry, website or social media URL, and a short description of your business. Your account display name cannot be changed once it is set, so choose it carefully. If you have no website or social media, tick the box to say so.
• Business details: enter your registered company address and choose your business currency. Each account starts with one currency. Once your KYB is approved, you can apply for additional accounts in other currencies using the same business details.
• Related persons: add the representative authorized to act on behalf of the company, such as an owner, executive, director, or senior manager. Provide their legal name, job title, date of birth, home address, nationality, and government issued ID, then indicate whether they are a director or member of the governing board, an Ultimate Beneficial Owner (owns or controls 25% or more of the company), or both. Reap is required to collect information on all directors of the company.
• Phone verification: verify the mobile number linked to your account.
• Supporting documents: upload the documents listed in the Before you start panel.
• Summary: review all submitted information and submit your application.

After you submit

Once submitted, your application goes to our team for review. You'll receive an email notification once your account is approved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a personal email address to sign up?

Reap requires a business email address to register. Personal email addresses from providers such as Gmail or Yahoo may be rejected during sign-up. Use your work email address (e.g. yourname@company.com) to register.

I did not receive the verification email. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder. If the email is not there, return to the confirmation screen and click Resend the email. If you still do not receive it after a few minutes, contact our support team with your registered email address.

The verification link has expired. Can I get a new one?

Yes. Return to the sign-up page and attempt to register again using the same email address. Reap will send you a fresh verification link.

Do I have to finish the whole application in one sitting?

No. Your progress is saved whenever you leave the page, and you can click Save and Exit at any point during account setup. Come back when you have the rest of your documents.

Can I change my account display name later?

No. The account display name uniquely identifies your account and cannot be changed once it is set, so choose it carefully.

Who should fill out the Related persons section?

Someone authorized to act on behalf of the company, such as an owner, executive, director, or senior manager. If that isn't you, pass the form to the right person. By continuing, you confirm you are an authorized signatory.
