How can I increase my card's daily spending limit?

What is the daily spending limit?

Your card daily Spending Limit is the maximum card transaction ceiling set by Reap for security reasons, of daily transactions.

The baseline for all cards are:

  • 50,000 USD per card per day for USD cards

  • 390,000 HKD per card per day for HKD cards

If the total spending of the card exceeds this amount for the day, the transaction will be declined.

The limit is reset every day at 11am UTC.

How does this work with my custom spend controls?

If you have custom spending controls set for this card, they will apply in parallel. Whichever limit is reached first will prevent the card from spending.

Note that if the spend controls that you have set are lower than the default limit set by Reap, you will not be able to make a request to Reap to increase your daily spending limit.

Does this limit affect my Reap Pay payments?

No, this limit does not count the Reap Pay payments funded with your Reap Card.

Who can request a higher limit?

Only Admins of the account will be able to request higher spend limits for themselves or for their team members.

How can I request a higher limit?

From the Reap Dashboard

You can find your daily spend limit in the card details accessible for each card under the Cards page.

Click "Request to increase limit" to start the flow

You can then enter the requested amount and the reason for increase.

SLAs and rules to apply

  • For amounts lower than or equal to 100,000 USD for USD cards or 780,000 HKD for HKD cards, the approval is instant, and you can start spending right away. The limit will then be increased for the next 3 business days

  • For amounts larger than 100,000 USD for USD cards or 780,000 HKD for HKD cards, we will require the dates for which you would like to increase your limit.

The Reap team will review your request and reply within 1-2 business days

How do I know about the status of my request?

You will be notified by email when:

  • The limit of your card has been increased

  • The limit of your card has gone back to its baseline
