Overview
When your card arrives, you will need two things to complete activation:
- Your physical Reap Card
- The 6-character activation code printed on the insert or sleeve inside your card packaging (this is not the card number or the last 4 digits on the card)
Activation is available from both the Reap dashboard on desktop and the Reap mobile app. Your card status updates to Active immediately once activation is complete.

Before you start
Before activating your card:
- Have your physical card and its packaging on hand. The activation code is printed on the insert or sleeve inside the envelope your card arrived in.
Activate from the Reap dashboard
- Log in to your Reap dashboard at dashboard.reap.global.
- In the left sidebar, click Cards, then select Cards.
- Click on your physical card tile. A details panel will slide open on the right side of the screen.
- At the top of the panel, you will see the message "Your new card is ready to be activated." Click Activate card.
- A pop-up will appear prompting you to enter your activation code.
- Type the 6-character activation code from inside your card packaging, one character per box.
- Click Activate.
Your card status will update to Active immediately once activation is complete.
Activate from the Reap mobile app
- Open the Reap mobile app and log in to your account.
- Tap Cards (or My Cards, depending on your role).
- Find and tap your physical card.
- Tap Activate Card.
- When prompted, enter the 6-character activation code from inside your card packaging.
- Tap Activate to confirm.
Your card status will update to Active once activation is successful.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find the activation code?
The activation code is a 6-character code printed on the insert or sleeve inside the envelope your card arrived in. It is not your card number or the last 4 digits on the front of the card. Check any paper inserts included in the packaging.
The Activate option is not visible on my Cards page. Why?
The Activate option only appears after the previous setup steps are complete, including confirming your shipping address. If the Shipping step is still in progress, wait for your card to arrive and for the page status to update. If your card has arrived but the option is still not showing, contact our support team with your account name and cardholder name.
My card does not appear on the Cards page. What should I do?
Make sure you are signed in to the correct Reap account. Try refreshing the page. If the card still does not appear after a few minutes, contact our support team.
I activated my card but my first transaction was declined. Why?
Activation makes your card live, but transactions can still be declined if your available balance is insufficient, the merchant category is restricted, or a spend limit is set on the card. Check your card's spend controls in the dashboard or app. If the issue continues, contact support.
My card arrived damaged or with incorrect details. What should I do?
Do not activate it. Contact our support team immediately and request a replacement. Have your account name, cardholder name, and a description of the issue ready.
I lost my activation code before activating the card. What should I do?
Contact our support team with your account name and cardholder name. Do not attempt to activate the card without the correct code.
