Reap Cards are virtual or physical Visa cards linked to your account's credit. This article walks you through how to issue both card types — from setting a cardholder and spend limits to arranging physical card delivery.

Who can issue cards
By default, the following permission roles can create cards:

The Cards page
Navigate to Cards → Cards in the left sidebar to see all cards in your account. Click + Create card in the top-right corner to start issuing a new card.
Issuing a virtual card
Virtual cards are issued instantly and can be used online or wherever Visa is accepted. They live entirely within the Reap dashboard — no physical delivery required.
Step 1 — Fill in the card details

| Cardholder | The team member who will use this card and can view its transactions. Select from the dropdown. |
| Card nickname | A descriptive label to help identify the card (e.g. "Business trip flights"). Max 100 characters. |
| Type | Leave Virtual card selected (the default). |
| Card category | Select the spending category that best matches the card's intended use. |
| Expiry date | The date the card becomes inactive. Must be at least 2 months from today. |
Step 2 — Configure optional settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Spend limits | Toggle on to cap the total amount the card can spend per day, week, or month. Individual card limits cannot exceed your account's credit limit. |
| Time restrictions | Toggle on to restrict the card to a specific window of hours each day (based on UTC+8). Useful for limiting card use to business hours. |
| Top up credit | Set a fixed credit amount the card can spend, independent of the account's credit. Once spent, this amount does not replenish automatically. |
💡 Where to find your credit limit: Go to Home in the left sidebar. Your available credit is displayed in the Reap Card widget at the top of the Dashboard.
Step 3 — Create the card
Click Create card. The virtual card is issued instantly and appears in your Cards list. The assigned cardholder can immediately use it for online transactions.
Issuing a physical card
Physical cards are mailed to your business address and arrive within 7–14 business days. They can be used anywhere Visa is accepted.
Step 1 — Select "Physical card"
On the Create card form, click Physical card in the Type toggle. The form will update to show delivery-specific fields.
Step 2 — Confirm or change the delivery address
The Delivery address field pre-fills with your registered business address. If you need to ship to a different location, click Use different address and enter the alternative address.
Step 3 — Enter recipient details
Fill in the Recipient section:
- Name — the person who will receive and sign for the card.
- Contact number — a phone number the courier can reach if needed.
These details are used to ensure a successful delivery and are not embossed on the card itself.
Step 4 — Create the card
Click Create card. The card will be produced and dispatched to the delivery address. Once it arrives, the cardholder can activate it from the Cards page.

Enabling card creation for Team Members
Team Members cannot issue cards by default. An Admin can grant this ability on a per-member basis via the Create and modify card budgets personalised permission. This permission can be set when inviting a new team member, or updated at any time.
To update an existing team member's permissions
- Go to Team in the left sidebar.
- Find the team member and click their row to open the Edit team member panel.
- Under Personalised permissions, toggle on Create and modify card budgets.
- Click Save changes.
Once enabled, the team member can create and manage card budgets from their own dashboard view. They will not have access to other admin functions.
Note: The Create and modify card budgets permission can also be set at the point of invitation — look for the Personalised permissions section when filling in a new team member's invite form.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I issue a card without assigning a cardholder?
No. Every Reap Card must be assigned to a specific cardholder at the time of creation. The cardholder is the only person who can view that card's transaction history in the dashboard.
Can I change the card type after issuing it?
No. Once a card has been issued, its type (virtual or physical) cannot be changed. If you need a different type, issue a new card and deactivate the original.
How long does a physical card take to arrive?
Physical cards are delivered within 7–14 business days to the address specified at the time of card creation.
Can a Team Member issue a physical card?
Yes — if they have the Create and modify card budgets personalised permission enabled, they can issue both virtual and physical cards.
What happens when a card reaches its expiry date?
No action needed on your end. We automatically renew your card 30 days before it expires — a new card is created and linked to your existing profile, and you'll receive an email confirmation once it's ready. Simply activate the new card, and the old one will be removed automatically.
