What this article covers: What you need to do before sending a Reap Pay payment - from funding your account to adding a recipient and understanding your payment options.
Overview
Reap Pay is Reap's payment solution for sending local and cross-border payments. From the Payments page in your Reap dashboard, you can manage your Reap Pay balance, create payments, and track their status all in one place.
Reap Pay lets you send local and cross-border payments directly from your Reap dashboard. Before your first payment goes through, there are a few things to set up.

Before you start
You will need:
- Admin access to your Reap account
- USDC or USDT in a crypto wallet ready to deposit, or an active Reap Card with available credit
- The recipient's bank details ready
Step 1: Fund your Reap Pay balance
Before sending a payment using stablecoins, you need to add funds to your Reap Pay balance. Check your current balance at the top of the Payments page - it shows your total funds, payment amount awaiting funds, and available balance in USDC and USDT.
There are two ways to fund your Reap Pay balance:
Option A: Deposit from an external wallet
Use this option when you need to fund a large payment that exceeds your current Reap Pay balance.
- Log in to your Reap dashboard at https://dashboard.reap.global/login.
- On the left sidebar, go to Payments, then click Payments.
- Under Balances, click Add Funds.
-
Add funds to Pay page appears. Under Network, select the blockchain network you want to send from:
- Ethereum (ERC-20)
- TRON (TRC20)
- Polygon PoS (ERC-20)
- Solana (SPL)
- Read the important notes carefully:
- Minimum transfer amount is 2 USDC/T. Any transfer below this amount will not be attributed and is non-refundable.
- Only send native USDC or USDT. Sending any other asset may result in loss of funds.
- A dedicated wallet address and QR code appear for the selected network. Send your stablecoins to this address.
- The current exchange rate is shown. Rates involving USDT are indicative - the live rate at the time your funds settle a payment is the rate that applies.
- Make sure to send using the same network you selected. Sending on the wrong network may result in permanent loss of funds.
-
Tick the checkbox: I understand Reap's minimum transfer amount and supported assets.
- Click I have transferred.
Your Reap Pay balance will update once the transaction is confirmed on-chain.
Option B: Move funds via Reap Treasury
Use this option when you want more control over your Reap Pay balance by keeping funds in General Treasury and moving them as needed.
If you already have stablecoins in another Reap balance - such as your Reap Card collateral or General balance - you can move them to your Reap Pay balance internally via the Treasury page. No external wallet needed.
- Log in to your Reap dashboard at https://dashboard.reap.global/login.
- On the left sidebar, click Reap Treasury. You will see your balances across Reap Card collateral, Reap Pay, and General.
-
Click Move Funds in the top right corner.
- Select the balance to move funds from - either Reap Pay or General balance - and click Continue.
- Select where to move your funds - either Reap Card collateral or General balance - and click Continue.
-
The Move funds screen appears. Enter the Amount to transfer and select your stablecoin (USDC or USDT).
- Review the warning: transferring assets to your Reap Card collateral is not reversible.
- Click Move funds to confirm.
The transfer is processed immediately and your balances update to reflect the new amounts.
Step 2: Add a recipient
You need to have a recipient set up before you can send a payment. A recipient is the bank account or entity you are paying.
To add a recipient:
- Log in to your Reap dashboard at https://dashboard.reap.global/login.
- On the left sidebar, go to Payments.
- Click Recipients.
- Click +New Recipient and fill in the required bank details.
The fields required depend on the destination country and payment rail. Have the recipient's bank account number, SWIFT/BIC code, and any local payment details ready before you start.
Step 3: Send a payment
Once your funding is ready and your recipient is added, you can send your first payment.
A few things to know before you send:
- Payments are available in 18 currencies across multiple corridors. See What locations does Reap Pay support? for the current list.
- Available payment rails - such as SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, CHATS, or FAST - depend on the recipient's country and currency. These appear as options during payment creation.
- If your account has approval policies, payments that meet the policy threshold require approval before processing. See How do I set up approval workflows for my team?.
Step 4: Set up your team (if needed)
If other team members need access to Reap Pay, you can invite them and configure their permissions:
- Invite team members: See Managing Your Team
- Set up approval workflows: See How do I set up approval workflows for my team? to require sign-off on payments above a threshold.
