Overview
Your Reap account holds key personal details — your name, email address, phone number, and WhatsApp number — that appear across invoices, notifications, and verification flows. This article explains how to view and update each of these fields from the Personal settings page.
Accessing your Personal settings
You can reach Personal settings from anywhere in the dashboard:
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- Click Personal in the sub-menu that appears.
The Personal settings page is divided into four sections: Profile, Identification, WhatsApp, Security, and Language.
Profile section
The Profile section lets you update the information associated with your identity on Reap. It contains the following fields:

Updating your profile details
Your email address and phone number are editable directly on the page — no separate edit mode is required. Your first and last name are read-only and cannot be changed after registration.
- Navigate to Settings → Personal.
- Click into the field you want to update (Email or Phone number) and type your changes.
- You will be prompted to verify the new email address or phone number before the change takes effect.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page to confirm your changes. Click Cancel to discard them.
Note: Your first and last name are locked to the identity you verified during account registration. If you need to correct your name, please contact Reap support.
Updating your WhatsApp number
The WhatsApp section (accessible from the left sub-navigation) lets you link or update the mobile number Reap uses to send you account alerts and payment reminders via WhatsApp.
- In Personal settings, click WhatsApp in the left sub-navigation.
- Select your country code from the dropdown and enter your WhatsApp number.
- Click Save.
Security section
The Security section (accessible from the left sub-navigation) lets you update your password and manage two-step authentication (2FA).
Changing your password
- In Personal settings, click Security in the left sub-navigation.
- Under the Password panel, click Change password.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to set a new password.
Enabling or disabling two-step authentication (2FA)
Two-step authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring both your password and an authenticator app code each time you log in.
To enable 2FA (when it is currently disabled):
- In Personal settings, click Security in the left sub-navigation.
- Under the Two-step authentication (2FA) panel, click Enable.
- Follow the on-screen steps to link your authenticator app and confirm the setup code.
To disable 2FA (when it is currently enabled):
- In Personal settings, click Security in the left sub-navigation.
- Under the Two-step authentication (2FA) panel, you will see the status 2FA is enabled — Protected with authenticator app.
- Click Disable and confirm when prompted.
Recommended: Reap strongly recommends keeping 2FA enabled at all times to protect your account.
Language section
The Language section lets you set the default display language for the Reap dashboard.
- In Personal settings, click Language in the left sub-navigation.
- Under Default language, click the dropdown and select your preferred language.
- Click Save to apply the change.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change my email address?
Yes. Enter the new email in the Email field and click Save. Reap will send a verification link to your new address — you must click that link before the change takes effect. Until then, your original email remains active.
Why does my phone number show "Verified"?
The Verified badge appears once Reap has confirmed that you own the number via a one-time SMS code. If you update to a new number, the badge will be removed until the new number is verified.
Can I change my first or last name?
No — your name is locked to the identity verified during account registration and cannot be self-edited. If you need to correct your name due to a legal name change or a registration error, please contact Reap support.
What is my User ID used for?
Your User ID (for example, acc_xxxxxxxx) is a unique internal identifier. It is read-only and cannot be changed. You may be asked for it when raising a support ticket.
Can I change my User ID?
No — User IDs are permanent and cannot be modified.
